April 16, 2024— HITLAB, a leading digital health innovation and teaching lab, is happy to announce the expansion of its Breakthrough Alliance (BTA) Board to Europe. The Board European counterpart will be Chaired by Laurent van Lerberghe, Investor Digital Health at Ballas Invest. 

Under the guidance of Laurent, BTA Europe will help facilitate partnerships and foster innovation across the European continent while acting as a bridge for these technologies to the US and vice versa, particularly in France and Belgium. 

Last week, the BTA Europe convened its first official gathering. In attendance were European leading healthcare executives as well as investors & founders of digital health startups at seed stage and Series A levels. They explored opportunities for growth and expansion through digital solutions. 

The discussions at the meeting uncovered numerous business opportunities, laying the groundwork for follow-up actions to be taken in May during HITLAB’s NYC Healthcare Innovation Week. This upcoming event promises to be a focal point for further collaboration, networking, and the pursuit of actionable initiatives.
