The HITLAB Fall 2024 Digital Health Innovators Summit solidified its status as the largest digital health conference in New York City, bringing together thought leaders, innovators, and industry experts for three impactful days of exploration, networking, and cutting-edge insights. With sessions spanning AI in healthcare, women’s health, health equity, medication adherence, supply chain innovation, wearables, and sustainable digital tools, the Summit served as a vital hub for advancing global health innovation.
Day 1: Transforming Healthcare Through Technology
Chair: John Hammitt, Global Director, HITLAB
The opening day set the tone for the Summit, focusing on the role of technology in transforming patient care. Discussions delved into topics like investments and ventures in digital health, clinical trials, medication adherence and an overview on pharma’s role in digital health.
A key highlight was the Fall 2024 Breakthrough Alliance Challenge Pitch Competition, where six start-ups from around the globe presented their innovative digital health solutions to a panel of esteemed judges.
The winners were:
- 1st Place: Fibricheck (US / Belgium) – Revolutionizing cardiac monitoring with advanced digital tools.
- 2nd Place: Memory Lane TV (US) – Enhancing cognitive health through innovative therapeutic platforms.
- 3rd Place: BioTrillion (US) – Leveraging AI to enable precision healthcare.
Honorable mentions included:
- H24 Care (France): A groundbreaking home care platform.
- Oragic (Armenia): A digital journaling and mental wellness platform.
- Gals Bio (Israel): An innovative solution for menstrual health.
Day 2: Advancing Women’s Health and Health Equity
Chair: Amy West, Principal Advisor, HITLAB
The second day spotlighted the critical need for innovation in women’s health and health equity. Speakers addressed the gaps in access to care, with sessions exploring how digital tools can empower underserved communities and improve patient outcomes globally.
Some of the hot topics were AI in healthcare (diagnostics and treatment) value-based care and improved patient outcomes.

Day 3: Legal and Regulatory Innovations
Chair: Kristopher Brown, Partner, Goodwin Procter LLP
The final day focused on the legal and regulatory landscape shaping digital health. Experts discussed key challenges and opportunities as well as including sustainable digital health innovations, FDA pathways, and compliance strategies for emerging technologies.
